EduDesk educational intranet

EduDesk is an ASP based intranet software product designed specifically for small to medium sized educational institutions. The development of the product took place in conjunction with St Columba College, an R-12 co-educational college, and GSoft Computers Pty Ltd who has years of experience in network design for South Australian schools.

The feature rich intranet product includes;

• an independent group based security system for authentication of users and user rights control.
• a resource booking system to allow users to book resources such as computer pools, auditoriums or digital cameras. These resources and their booking rights can be defined at any time using the simple administrator interface.
• discussion boards.
• public and private calendars.
• an internal messaging system (perfect for those schools that cannot afford an email system).
• advanced bulletin board system - no more paper notices!
• personal bookmarks and task list.
• virtual class room - teachers can create a class and add their students. Students can then log into this virtual classroom and see assignment details, engage in discussion boards the teacher has created, contact their teacher, see class notes and access internet resources defined by the teacher.
• file storage system - allows users to store files for public or private use.
